Miniature Stupa At Tepe Sardar. Ghazni, Ghazni Province.
1970s
Before being damaged, this votive stupa was a most attractive example of how stupas had changed over the centuries since those built at Shewaki and Hadda. Staircases and circumambulation platforms, a major ritual performed by worshipers at Tepe Sardar, are clearly and realistically portrayed.
