Pale Gold Goblet. Tapa fullol (also Khosh Tapa), Baghlan Province.

Height: 9.9 cm. This pale gold goblet engraved with systematically compartmented geometric designs was part of a hoard of gold and silver accidentally found in September 1966 by villagers diggin soil to revitalize their fields. The 70 meter long mound lay in the SaiHazara valley southwest of Shortugai near Baghlan city. The hoard may represent several periods and come from different places on the trade routes but dates generally from the Bronze Age at the end of the 3rd millennium BCE, about 2,500 BCE.
