Afrasyab, King of Turan (Samarkand area) had placed the hero, Bujan, in a well. Fifty men had been unable to lift the stone covering the well. Rustam alone succeeded in removing the stone and uniting Bujan with his beloved, Manija, daughter of the Turan King. Episode from the Shanama.
