Mousterian Flint Tool. Northern Plains, Samangan Province.

January 1976
This punching tool found on the surface while picnicking between Aybak (Samangan) and Kulm (Tashkurghan) on the way to Mazar-i-Sharif is one good example of how widely situated the pre-historic sites are. It probably relates to the same period as Darra-i-Kur, Baba Darwesh.
