East to west the long loft audience hall with pillared verandahs measured 58 meters in length and 18.5in width, with twelve windows in each side. It could seat 1000 people. Multi-petal-shaped fanlights topped the windows. The ceiling was ornamented by small metal plates stenciled with fine painting. Lighting was provided by gas lamps, although a dynamo worked by a portable engine from the workshops provided power to two electric arc lamps. There was a separate room on the north end where the Amir sometimes resided. Refurbished and repaired many times, it is still in use today (2016).
