Amir Habibullah Period: Qasre Stor (Star Building) II 1912.

1920s
In 1912, an imposing two-storey extension designed by James Miller, the Scotsman who designed the clock tower at the Dilkusha Palace, was added to the east end of the simple one-storey buildings. As at Dilkusha, the interior columns were painted to resemble marble and the flooring of black and white marble was also similar. It is identified by the legend as Kabul- Le Ministere de l'Exterieur. Souvenir postcard printed in Paris in the 1920s.
