Yazdigord Samangani, Akwan Dehyu: Sorab and Rustam.

Left Panel: Rustam killed the white Devil after a long combat and lay down to sleep. The Akwan Dehyu (Chief of the Devils) found him and lifted him high in the air together with the portion of the sod on which Rustam slept so as to not awaken him. Holding him above his head, he shook him awake and asked him whether he wanted to be thrown onto the mountain or into the river. Rustam, figuring that the Devil would do the opposite of what he said requested to be thrown in on to the mountain. The Devil threw him into the river and Rustam swam to safety much to the Devil's disgust right panel. Sorab weeps over the body of his son whom he has unwittingly killed in battle.
