Mehtab Bagh in the western part of the Chahr Deh Valley is an example of the numerous gardens near villages appropriated as garden retreats by the elites of Kabul during this period. Fleets of motor cars were the joy of Amir Habibullah who improved roads to accommodate them, but carriages were still being used. Color Souvenir postcard printed in Paris in the 1920s.
