Dashli 3 Excavations. Jauzjan Province.

14 November 1975
A major architectural structure was excavated at Dashli 3 overlooking a mass of artisan houses and storerooms. The mud-brick citadel, 150 meters in diameter and dating 1500-1060 BCE, had a double wall buttressed by numerous square towers. It was probably the residence of the local governing official. According to Viktor Sarianidi, sp leader of the Afghan-Soviet team, irrigated orchards and fields of barley and what once flourished around the citadel.
