Official Farmer's Day Fair.

Another fair on Nawroz celebrated Farmer's Day where farmers collected awards for exceptional fruits and vegetables and won prizes for superbly fine horses, cows, sheep and goats. This fair was held near the then expanding suburb of Khairkhana on the western edge of the Wazirabad Plain. Urban sprawl and grander ideas brought this charming low key fair focused on farmers to an end. It has been replaced since 2007 by an ambitious government-sponsored Agricultural Fair that emphasizes trade and opportunities for businessmen.
