Ethnographic Room, Second Floor At Top of Stairs.
July 1993
A fine collection of Pashtun, Tajik, Hazara, Nuristani, and old Kabuli wedding costumes and embroideries displayed in the Ethnographic Room, together with Nuristani and Pashtun jewelry, disappeared. Many of the pre-Islamic, 19th century Nuristani wooden grave effigies on display here were cut up for fire wood.
