8 km. north of Kabul on north side of the ridge behind the Kabul airport. The area is full of graveyards in which it is said lie those who fell in battle when the king of Persia, Nadir Khan Afshar, passed through in 1738, or, in 1842 fighting the British at the end of the First Anglo-Afghan War.
