Ivories From Begram. Kapisa Province.

1981
One of three incised small plaques alternating with spindles on the side of the jewel box showing an animal figure with a male head wearing a pill box hat and clutching his bosom (h. 6.8 cm). Along the right edge panel is an elegant female girdled with a flowing mantle standing in a dancing mode. Her hair-do is very perky, her earrings spectacular and one can almost hear the clank of her heavy anklets as she dances.
