1975
A spacious 100 meter square gymnasium stood above the fountain. Training elite young males in all aspects of physical and mental development was extremely important to communities all across the Greek world during this time, a time when interest in the Olympic Games was passionate. The gymnasium at Ai Khanoum was the largest gymnasium in the antique world.
