Less than a year before his father died in 1901 Prince Habibullah contracted a British architect, Mr.Finlayson, to design an impressive palace within the grounds of the Arg to rival his uncle's Zain ul-Emorat. Named Dilkusha (Heart's Delight), construction began in 1900, but completion was delayed until 1914. Souvenir postcard published in Paris in the 1920s.
