The Amir, mindful of the desires of the general public, constructed a large congregational mosque on the right side of the river not far from the eastern exit of Jadi Maiwand. The cornerstone was laid by Amir Abdur Rahman in 1893. Well maintained ever since, it is a vital part of the life of the city.. KES Collection No 365.
