The Kabul river flows through a gap between Koh-i-Asmai and another ridge called Sher Darwaza which provides access between the two halves of Kabul. Pul-e-Artal located on the north west of Sher Darwaza, Cinema Pamir and Shah-i-do-shamshara located on the east of Sher Darwaza.
