King Amanullah's Residence at Bala Bagh.

The statuary made from bricks was finished with a gypsum plaster to simulate marble. The statues were the cause of considerable critical comment in conservative circles where the King was accused of being an idol worshiper. Souvenir post card printed in Paris in the 1920.
