A superbly worked ornamental bracket supporting the arm of a chair or a throne portraying a bejeweled, sweetly smiling, Yakshi (nature spirit). with the reins in her hand she sits relaxed astride a winged leogryph that emerges forcefully from the jaws of a makara (a mythical crocodile). A young attendant stands in the jaws of the makara supporting the foot of the rider.
