Aerial Panorama of the City of Kabul.

5 July 1975
Shor Bazaar. Midway along Jadi Maiwand a broad street lined with whitewashed buildings runs toward the mountains. At its end it meets the entrance to the ancient Shor Bazaar running in a straight line parallel to Jadi Maiwand along the outside walls of the citadel until it ends at the main road leading out of the city to the east. Along this unpaved road filled with mechanized and animal transport all manner of merchandize is available, but exotic spices sold n the vicinity of the Hindu and Sikh temples located here are particularly sought after. Paper kites for kite-flying competition from Shor Bazaar were also a valued buy.
