This headless figure (132 cm. tall) of Kanishka now in the National Museum, was also identified as King Kanishka is also similar to statues found at another Kushan capital, in India at Mathura, between Agra and Delhi. The figure is dressed in a long straight coat ornamented with floral designs worn over baggy trousers gathered at the ankle by a buckles, above large boots. A cloak is draped over all. This typical Bactrian style, often seen in the Tillya Tepe collection, is also notably similar to dress worn today in Afghanistan.
