Bagh-i-Umomi (Public Garden).
1920s
The terraced Public Garden, just uphill from the mosque was the center piece of the resort in which the King took a personal interest in supervising its development. Much of the work of leveling the terraces was done by elephants pulling a heavy stone roller which was still in the parking lot in 2004. Souvenir post card printed in Paris during the 1920s.
