Bagh-i-Shahi (King's Garden) Palace, Jalalabad: Phase II Amir Habibullah Period.

Late 1920s
Amir Abdur Rahman's successors frequently remodeled the Bagh-i-Shahi Palace. Extensive alterations were carried out by Amir Habibullah (1901-1919) on the east Façade above the reflecting pool. The addition of a large pediment over a balcony veranda, plus the angular moldings representing baseless pediments on the back wall, are examples of the Amir's fondness for the British Indian cantonment style. Copy of b/w Souvenir postcard printed in Paris in 1922, 1926, 1928 taken in February 1976.
