Bagh-i-Babur: Moghul Emperor Shah Jehan Mosque 1646.

1967
During his 1646 visit to Kabul the Moghul Emperor Shah Jehan built an eloquent little mosque on the terrace below Emperor Babur's grave to celebrate his victory over Uzbek forces at Balkh. He also refurbished the gardens in many ways during his visit in 1638, including the repair of the water channels along side the terraces that were essential for the revival of the plantations.
