Eucratides I ruled from 171-145 BCE. He wears a headgear adapted from Nuristan which was first adopted by Alexander and became a symbol of royalty. His were the largest coins minted in the Hellenistic world. By the end of the 2nd century BCE these imperious rulers were described in Chinese sources as living in walled cities, being skilled in trade, but with weak armies.
